ABOUT MARILYN'S JOURNAL
A few entries from Marilyn's Travel Journal:
September 4th, 2010:
I have been buying French blouses for two days. Longer and softer looking styles seem to be emerging from the classic structured looks of the past. They are mixing cotton, linen, and lace. The styles will be easier to wear for causal looks. A bright color belt or white belt will add a new dimension to the longer blouses a trend that was all over the streets of Paris. I found a new jewelry collection today. I bought it to add texture and line to pearls, Lucite jewelry and any simple slide pendent piece of jewelry. It will add individuality looks to outfits. A trend in its infancy but is sure to chance the whole look of fashion in coming seasons. I will finish Paris by the 9th of September.
It was just a little moment but it said so much. I had stopped at a little shop to buy one of those great sandwiches on French bread. It was one of those shops were you stood at a high glass counter full of all kinds of fresh sandwiches with fresh tomatoes, lettuce and of course the best thing of all the bread. I have, come to know it doesn’t much matter what else is inside ham, chicken, tuna or vegetables it is always good. I order a great looking tuna sandwiched and water. The young French man put all my things on a tray and carried it to the outside sidewalk were a row of tables with chairs stood. All the tables were full but this did not detour this young Frenchman he was determined that I eat my lunch outside in the warm sunshine were my life would be a little better for a few moments in the day. It wasn’t easy but he managed to rearrange a few people and make a please for me to set. As I sat in the warmth of the sun watching the people go by I thought how nice this little moment was and how it had changed my day.

I cleaned my office today to be ready for the coming months activities and found a note to myself reminding me that Ahmed at Hotel Zurigo in Milan sketched in my hotel dates for September when I left from my last visit. I usually start planning my September buying trip in June. I will probably be away for 4 to 5 weeks. The longest stays are in Milan and Paris. I have regular hotels I stay at and Hotel Zurigo is my regular hotel in Milan. All the staff and especial Ahmed take very good care of me when I stay with them. I love that they give me the same room. It makes it easy to unpack. It is a large room by European standards. The hotel has a nice full breakfast and is located near two major metro lines making it easy to get to were ever I want to go.
